Sencillamente se desgastó su mecanismo físico; el proceso de desintegración paulatinamente le fue ganando terreno al proceso de reparación, y llegó el inevitable final. Hacía diecinueve años que había muerto Eva por debilitación del corazón. Ambos fueron sepultados en el centro del templo del servicio divino que se había construido de acuerdo con sus proyectos poco tiempo después de terminar de completarse los muros de la colonia. De aquí se originó la práctica de enterrar a los hombres y mujeres notablemente piadosos debajo del piso de los templos de adoración.
