(1775.2) ^160:2.1 Los mortales sólo tienen dos maneras de vivir juntos: la manera material o animal y la manera espiritual o humana. Por medio de signos y sonidos, los animales pueden comunicarse entre ellos en una medida limitada. Pero estas formas de comunicación no transmiten ni los significados, ni los valores ni las ideas. La única diferencia entre el hombre y el animal es que el hombre puede comunicarse con sus semejantes por medio de símbolos que designan e identifican CON PRECISIÓN los significados, los valores, las ideas e incluso los ideales.

By the use of signals and sounds animals are able to communicate with each other in a limited way. But such forms of communication do not convey meanings, values, or ideas. The one distinction between man and the animal is that man can communicate with his fellows by means of symbols which most certainly designate and identify meanings, values, ideas, and even ideals.
