136:2.6 (1512.2) Cuando Jesús fue bautizado no se arrepintió de error alguno; no hizo confesión alguna de pecados. Su bautismo fue su consagración al cumplimiento de la voluntad del Padre celestial. Durante su bautismo oyó el inequívoco llamado de su Padre, el mandato final de que se ocupara de los asuntos de su Padre, y se retiró a solas durante cuarenta días para discurrir estos múltiples problemas. Al retirarse así por una temporada del contacto personal activo con sus asociados terrenales, Jesús, tal como era, y al estar en Urantia, estaba siguiendo el mismo procedimiento que se observa en los mundos morontiales cuandoquiera QUE UN ALMA ASCENDENTE se fusiona con la presencia interior del Padre Universal.

At his baptism he heard the unmistakable call of his Father, the final summons to be about his Father’s business, and he went away into private seclusion for forty days to think over these manifold problems.
