(668.1) ^58:4.3 Hace 500.000.000 de años la vida vegetal marina primitiva estaba bien establecida en Urantia. Groenlandia y la masa terrestre ártica, junto con América del Norte y del Sur, empezaban su larga y lenta deriva al oeste. La África se desplazaba ligeramente hacia el sur, creando un surco de este a oeste, la cuenca del Mediterráneo, entre sí y el cuerpo materno. La Antártida, Australia y la tierra evidenciada por las islas del Pacífico se desprendieron por el sur y el este y se han desplazado muy lejos desde aquel día.

Greenland and the arctic land mass, together with North and South America, were beginning their long and slow westward drift. Africa moved slightly south, creating an east and west trough, the Mediterranean basin, between itself and the mother body. Antarctica, Australia, and the land indicated by the islands of the Pacific broke away on the south and east and have drifted far away since that day.
