Existen miles y miles de criaturas vivientes que vuestra imaginación no podría de ninguna manera imaginar. La entera creación animal es de una orden totalmente diferente de las groseras especies animales de los planetas evolucionarios. Pero toda esta vida animal es sumamente inteligente y está exquisitamente dispuesta a ayudar, y todas las distintas especies son sorprendentemente suaves y conmovedoramente gregarias. No existen criaturas carnívoras en estos mundos arquitectónicos; no hay nada en todo Edentia que pueda asustar a un ser viviente.
El uso de "burdas" en la traducción sevillana tampoco parece muy adecuado.

There are thousands upon thousands of living creatures which your imagination could not possibly picture. The whole animal creation is of an entirely different order from the gross animal species of the evolutionary planets. But all this animal life is most intelligent and exquisitely serviceable, and all the various species are surprisingly gentle and touchingly companionable. There are no carnivorous creatures on such architectural worlds; there is nothing in all Edentia to make any living being afraid.
